In this 2-hour hands-on class, you'll learn how to create iconic Indian street food dishes, from crispy vegetable pakoras to savory, spice-infused chaats—all while working with Zi Spice’s handcrafted blends to build bold, authentic flavors. You'll explore the key techniques of Indian street food cooking, including the secrets to achieving a crispy, golden batter, how to layer sweet, tangy, and spicy elements, and the best ways to balance textures and flavors. By the end of the class, you’ll be able to recreate these mouthwatering dishes at home with confidence. This class is perfect for all skill levels—whether you’re an adventurous foodie, a home cook looking to expand your skills, or just someone who loves a good plate of chaat! What to Expect Hands-on cooking experience – You’ll work in small groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment. Class duration – 2 hours of guided instruction, including cooking and tasting. Limited spots – Classes are kept small (10–12 students) to ensure individual attention. Active participation – Expect to be standing, cooking, and handling ingredients for most of the class. Dress code – Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back for safety. Menu 🍃 Crispy Pakoras – Light, crispy vegetable fritters made with spiced chickpea flour batter. 🥔 Aloo Chaat – Spiced, crispy potatoes tossed with fresh herbs, yogurt, tamarind chutney, and chaat masala. 🥭 Sweet & Spicy Chutneys – Learn to make fresh mint chutney and a tangy tamarind-date chutney. Additional Details All recipes use fresh, whole ingredients and traditional Indian spices. Zi Spice Cooking Class Booking Policy Thank you for booking a cooking class with Zi Spice! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, please review our booking policies below: Booking & Payment Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot in the class. Spaces are limited, and reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Cancellation & Refund Policy Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the class start time are eligible for a full credit towards a future class. No cash refunds will be issued. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the class are non-refundable, as ingredients and preparation have already been arranged. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to a friend or family member—just notify us in advance. Class Changes & Cancellations by Zi Spice In rare cases where Zi Spice must cancel or reschedule a class, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered the option to transfer to another class or receive a full refund. Zi Spice reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment, unforeseen circumstances, or emergencies. Class Guidelines Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may miss important instructions. Cooking involves standing, active participation, and handling kitchen equipment—please dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes. All ingredients used are not guaranteed to be allergen-free.
